Our Planet Live in Concert

April 6, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$39.50 – $59.50

William Shatner, the Emmy®Award-winning actor who came to fame portraying Captain James T. Kirk on the original “Star Trek” television series, today announced he has signed on to provide special co-narration for the all-new concert tour,“Our Planet Live inConcert.”

“My deeply immersive journey into space gave me a profound appreciation for the earth and its fragility,” says Shatner. “The reimagining of the Netflix series takes the audience on a journey showcasing our world with spectacular visuals, narration and music. The combination of all these elements gives the audience an opportunity to celebrate our planet together— the home we all share —and its wonders, while showing the urgent need to treasure and protect it.”

The landmark Emmy Award®-winning Netflix series that took the world by storm is now a live concert event! OUR PLANET LIVE IN CONCERT combines breathtaking HD cinematography with all-new orchestrations by Oscar®-winning composer Steven Price performed by a live onstage orchestra. A journey of discovery across our planet featuring narration by legendary broadcaster David Attenborough, this mesmerizing concert is a spectacular celebration of the planet we call home — welcoming audiences to be fully immersed into the wonders of earth’s wildlife and their habitats. A donation will be made to World Wildlife Fund for each concert.

Academy Award®-winning composer Steven Price states, “I can’t wait for the audience to experience the music of OUR PLANET live. Using a combination of the most memorable sequences from the Netflix series exclusively designed for this show, the incredible musicians plan to take you on a journey that celebrates the wonders of our planet — the one home we all share — whilst showing the urgent need to treasure and protect it.”

A collaboration between GEALive, Silverback Films and World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Our Planet Live in Concert combines high-quality live elements with a fusion of breathtaking cinematography projected on a large HD screen. “OurPlanet” blends spectacular wildlife footage with the mysteries of how and why animals migrate. The series features stunning imagery of the Earth’s most beautiful, intriguing and surprising wildlife as it follows animals on the move from plains to frozen worlds to high seas and beyond. In these dramatic, compelling stories, it reveals the connections that drive our natural world, inspiring viewers to want to learn how climate change impacts all living creatures and what can be done about it.

“The level of detail in the use of slow motion, time-lapse, extreme close-up, and awe-inspiring aerial shots adds up to something extraordinary. There are so many rare delights, like hidden cameras that have captured reticent Arabian leopards, or the whimsical marches of leaf-cutter ants, as well as curious mating rituals that you may have seen documented elsewhere, but which now have such extraordinary clarity they almost look unreal.” — Collider
